Clams Fra Diablo
- 1 lb Sea Watch IQF Chopped Sea Clams
- 2 Cups Tomatoes, diced
- 1 Cup Onion, diced
- ¼ Cup of each, Red and Green Bell Pepper, diced
- 1 Tbsp Dry Italian Herbs
- 3 Fresh Basil Leaves, long chopped
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Garlic, minced
- 1 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 lb Cooked Pasta
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- In a small sauce pan, sauté the onions and peppers in the olive oil until the onions are translucent.
- Add garlic, herbs, tomatoes, and red pepper flakes, let simmer over low heat for 5 minutes then add the frozen clams.
- Let simmer over low heat for 20 minutes until clams are done.
- If sauce is too thin, add one teaspoon of starch dissolved in one tablespoon of cold water.
- Let sauce thicken and pour over pasta.
Serves: 2-3 Entrees
